The Tema Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Isaac Nii Kotei Djani, together with a delegation of pastors, has paid a courtesy visit to the Mayor of Tema, Hon. Ebi Bright, to congratulate her on her appointment as the first female Mayor of the Tema Metropolis.
Speaking on behalf of the church in the Tema Area, the Area Head stated that the church remains a partner in the development of the community. He emphasised that irrespective of political affiliation, leaders deserve the support and prayers of the church as it continues to play a vital role in society.
He encouraged the Mayor and her team to govern in accordance with ethical principles and values that promote the welfare of the people, assuring her of the church’s continuous prayers and support.
In her response, Hon. Ebi Bright expressed appreciation to the Area Head and the church for the visit and their support. She acknowledged that her appointment and achievements are by the grace of God and noted the importance of divine guidance in leadership.
She further appealed for the continued prayers and constructive engagement of the church, stressing that development requires collaboration among all stakeholders.
Accompanying the Area Head were Pastor Dr Suleman De-Graft Issaka (Area Secretary), Pastor Seth Atta-Baffour (Area Executive Member), and Overseer Samuel Gaisie (PSTM).
Also present at the meeting were the Coordinating Director of the Tema Metropolitan Assembly and other officials.
The visit reaffirmed the church’s commitment to supporting leadership and contributing to the holistic development of the Tema Metropolis.
