The Tarkwa Area PENTSOS Committee of The Church of Pentecost has organised a capacity-building seminar for district focal persons to strengthen the implementation of social intervention and community development initiatives across the Area.
Held on May 31, 2026, the seminar sought to reorient participants and deepen their understanding of the PENTSOS policy framework, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively coordinate and monitor programmes within their respective districts.
Presentations focused on financing PENTSOS institutions and projects, leadership and management, report writing, and key aspects of the PENTSOS Livelihood Program. The sessions were designed to enhance the capacity of focal persons to drive sustainable community development efforts and support the Church’s vision of holistic ministry.
Facilitators for the seminar included the Area PENTSOS Coordinator, Pastor Ebenezer Tawiah-Mensah; Executive Member, Pastor Dr. Frank Andi-Mends; Executive Member, Elder Professor Broni-Bediako; Elder James Cudjoe; and Deacon Daniel Nunoo of Pentecost Preparatory School (PPS), Tarkwa.
The organisers indicated that strengthening the capacity of district focal persons remains critical to the effective delivery of PENTSOS interventions, which continue to impact lives through livelihood support, social services, and community-focused development programmes.
PENTSOS, the social services arm of The Church of Pentecost, plays a key role in advancing the Church’s commitment to transforming lives and communities through practical expressions of the gospel.
