The Mankessim Area of The Church of Pentecost has successfully organised a four-day evangelistic outreach dubbed “Mankessim for Christ Crusade,” which brought spiritual renewal and transformation to many residents within the municipality.
The crusade, held from February 17–21, 2026, took place at the Edumadze School Park in Mankessim and attracted large crowds from the township and surrounding communities. The programme was organised through the dedicated efforts of the planning committee, whose objective was to proclaim the unchanging message of the Gospel and offer people the opportunity to encounter Jesus Christ.
The event was hosted and chaired by the Mankessim Area Head, Apostle Isaac Kofi Annan, with the support of ministers in the Area. The crusade was organised under the theme, “Jesus Christ — He Sets the Captive Free,” drawn from Luke 4:18, emphasising the liberating power of Christ to transform lives.
Each evening from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., the Edumadze School Park was filled with worshippers who gathered for praise, prayer, and the preaching of the Word of God. The atmosphere throughout the programme was marked by heartfelt worship and fervent intercession as many people responded to altar calls and surrendered their lives to Christ.
The crusade featured several guest speakers, including Apostle Dr. Amos Jimmy Markin, Cape Coast Area Head and Coordinator of the Central Regional Coordinating Committee; Pastor Adjei-Nimako Darkwa, Agona Swedru Area Head; Pastor Eric Asare, Assin Foso Area Head; Elder Edward Essuman from Takoradi; and Elder Stephen Awuah Kese, Prayer Camp Leader at Tarkwa.
Morning revival sessions were also held at the Estate District Central Assembly from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. These sessions created additional opportunities for teaching, intercession, healing, deliverance, and personal ministry.
The worship sessions were led by anointed gospel ministers, including Deaconess Joyce Effah Kaakyire, Deaconess Miriam Ampadu, Elder Thompson Baidoo, and Deacon Emmanuel Gyamfi, together with the Mankessim Area Mass Choir, who ushered congregants into deep moments of worship.
Evangelistic teams, including the Gospel Heralds and the Area Evangelism Team, also embarked on community outreach, visiting homes, markets, ghettos, and streets to share the message of salvation.
The crusade climaxed on Saturday morning with a free medical screening exercise at the Edumadze School Park, sponsored by Tobinco Pharmaceuticals, providing essential health services to residents.
By the close of the programme, 199 souls had been won for Christ, 84 baptised in water, 21 received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and 20 individuals rededicated their lives to Christ. Many participants testified of salvation, healing, and restoration, marking the crusade as a significant spiritual milestone for the municipality.
