The Agona Swedru Area Pastorate of The Church of Pentecost has paid a courtesy call on the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Agona West Municipality, Hon. Eric Gyamfi Odoom, to explore avenues for collaboration toward the development of the municipality.
The visit, which took place on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, was led by the Agona Swedru Area Head, Pastor Adjei-Nimako Darkwa, together with some Area executives. The meeting formed part of the church’s ongoing efforts to strengthen partnerships with key stakeholders in promoting community transformation and national development.
Receiving the delegation at his office, Hon. Eric Gyamfi Odoom expressed his appreciation to the leadership of The Church of Pentecost for the visit and acknowledged the important role the church continues to play in the moral and social development of society.
According to the MCE, he was honoured to host the leadership of the Agona Swedru Area Pastorate and welcomed the opportunity to engage them on issues that concern the progress of the municipality. He noted that faith-based institutions remain key partners in promoting positive values, social support, and community engagement.
Discussions during the meeting centred on how the church and the municipal assembly can work together to advance the development agenda of the municipality, particularly in areas such as social interventions, sanitation, community mobilisation, and moral upliftment.
Hon. Odoom reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the work of God and assured the church leadership of his readiness to collaborate with faith-based organisations whenever the need arises for the collective good of the people within the municipality.
Speaking after the meeting, Pastor Adjei-Nimako Darkwa described the engagement as fruitful and expressed gratitude to the Municipal Chief Executive for the warm reception and openness to partner with the church.
He emphasised that The Church of Pentecost remains committed to contributing to the holistic development of society, particularly through initiatives that promote sanitation, environmental stewardship, and responsible community living.
The visit reflects the church’s continuous effort to work closely with local authorities and other stakeholders to foster sustainable community development and social transformation.
