The Resident Minister of the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC) in the New Tafo Area, Pastor Ernest Wisdom Worlanyo, has charged church leaders to remain faithful to the divine call on their lives through godly and exemplary living.
Pastor Worlanyo, addressing church leaders during the New Tafo Area Officers’ Retreat (New Tafo Zone) on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at the M. K. Yeboah Memorial Temple, Krofrom, presented a message on the topic “Spiritual Living in the Secular World,” drawing on several scriptures, including Daniel 1:8; 6:3,10; Acts 1:8; Matthew 6:11-16; Romans 12:2; and John 3:3.
Referring to the life of Daniel, he articulated how Daniel’s faithfulness, integrity, and spirit of excellence brought transformation to Babylon—a nation characterised by corruption and idolatry, reflective of a secular world.
Defining the secular world as an environment that does not acknowledge the existence of God, the Creator, he drew a parallel between the contemporary world and ancient Babylon, emphasising the critical need for salvation and positive transformation. He expressed concern over the compromised lifestyles of some Christians, who are called to be agents of change, urging believers to allow their lives become a transforming influence in their families, communities, and the world around them.
Pastor Worlanyo, who also serves as the Area Secretary, underscored the distinction between Kingdom life and worldly standards, exhorting the congregation to embody Kingdom values and principles while living in a secular environment.
Describing the fear of persecution as a major obstacle to spiritual living, he encouraged Christians to stand firm for the truth at all times, assuring them of God’s ultimate victory.
