The Head of Ministerial Formation at the Pentecost School of Theology and Missions (PSTM), Apostle Dr. Christian Tsekpoe, has affirmed that true redemption — involving release, rescue, and deliverance — is found only in Jesus Christ.

“The redemption from Jesus sets people free,” he declared, emphasizing that humanity, bound by sin and incapable of saving itself, can only be liberated through the sacrificial blood of Jesus.

Apostle Dr. Tsekpoe made this statement on Friday, May 30, 2025, during the “You Must Be Born Again” Gospel Crusade held at the Ho Technical University.

Preaching on the theme “Forgiveness of Sins Through the Blood of Jesus,” he noted that the overwhelming sinfulness and shame plaguing the world require divine intervention.

“For someone to need redemption, the person must be under some form of oppression,” he explained, stressing that only the blood of Jesus has the power to cleanse and restore.

He added, “God paid our penalty Himself. The iniquities of our lives are too weighty for us to bear. Jesus is the only one qualified to pay the price and redeem us.”

Touching on the deceptive nature of sin, Apostle Tsekpoe warned, “The devil comes to steal your mind; he makes sin look so enticing, so beautiful.”

Referring to the biblical account of Adam and Eve, he said, “God killed an animal and replaced their fig leaves with proper covering, removing their shame. Every wisdom outside of Christ is the wisdom of leaves.”

He also stressed the importance of spiritual authority in overcoming oppression. Drawing from Exodus 1:11–16, he noted that the Israelites’ suffering in Egypt was not solely due to Pharaoh’s cruelty, but also because there was no one with divine authority to confront the enemy’s power.

“The devil can only oppress you when you lack a certain power,” he concluded.

The crusade — organized by the Youth Ministry of The Church of Pentecost in partnership with the Schools Outreach Ministry — continued through Sunday, June 1, 2025, and aimed to spark spiritual renewal and transformation within the Ho Technical University community.
