The Church of Pentecost has once again demonstrated its commitment to holistic community transformation with the renovation of the Humjibre CHPS Compound in the Sefwi Bekwai Area.
The intervention was spearheaded by the Humjibre District in collaboration with Elder Paul Dorzie of the Adjakaa Manso District. The CHPS Compound, which serves as the primary healthcare facility for Humjibre and surrounding communities, had fallen into a deplorable state, with a leaking roof, broken ceilings, damaged windows, and worn-out walls—conditions that hindered effective healthcare delivery.
Moved by compassion and a sense of responsibility, Elder Paul Dorzie single-handedly financed the re-roofing of the facility at a cost of GHS 20,000. In addition, members of the Humjibre District contributed building materials estimated at GHS 6,000, including cement, paint, plywood, boards, and fittings. The team also undertook plastering works and repainted the entire building, giving the facility a renewed and welcoming outlook.
A brief but colourful ceremony was held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, to officially hand over the renovated facility to the community. Addressing the gathering, Pastor Isaac Kwadwo Asare, District Minister of Humjibre, emphasized the Church’s mandate to seek the peace and prosperity of its communities. He noted that Christian ministry extends beyond spiritual growth to include social and physical well-being. “As agents of transformation, we must work for the good of the land wherever we find ourselves,” he stated.
The ceremony was attended by the chief and elders of Humjibre, the Assemblyman, a representative of the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipal Health Directorate, church leaders, and health workers. Health personnel expressed profound gratitude, noting that the improved facility would significantly enhance healthcare delivery.
The project reaffirms the Church’s vision of transforming society with Kingdom values and stands as a beacon of hope and partnership in community development.
