Advans Ghana Rewards Top Savers as Client Wins Trip to South Africa
Advans Ghana Savings and Loans Ltd has honoured several customers for their commitment to consistent saving during a nationwide promotional campaign aimed at encouraging better financial habits among individuals and small businesses.
The awards ceremony took place on March 5 at the company’s Newtown branch at Mallam Atta Market in Accra, where customers who participated in the Advans Aha Ye D3 Promo were recognised for their dedication to building strong savings habits. The three-month promotion was introduced to motivate clients to save regularly and strengthen their financial future.
Speaking at the event, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Advans Ghana, Guillaume Valence, explained that the initiative reflects the institution’s commitment to helping customers achieve financial stability.
According to him, saving goes beyond simply putting money aside.
“At Advans Ghana, our mission is to help our clients build financial security for themselves, their families and their businesses. Savings is not just money kept somewhere; it is the foundation for growth, opportunity and resilience. Through this promotion, we are celebrating customers who continue to make responsible financial decisions and invest in their future,” he said.
The highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of the grand prize to Agnes Naadu, owner of Agnaa Enterprise and a client of the Okaishie branch, who emerged as the overall winner after recording the highest savings performance during the promotion.
In recognition of her achievement, she received a fully paid two-night trip to South Africa, which includes flights, accommodation and guided tours.
Expressing her excitement, Mrs Naadu said the promotion encouraged her to remain disciplined with her finances.
“I am truly honoured to be recognised by Advans Ghana for my savings discipline. This promotion has encouraged me to be more consistent with managing my finances, and winning the grand prize is a wonderful reward. I hope my story inspires others, especially women entrepreneurs, to take saving seriously and plan for a stronger future,” she said.
Other winners were also recognised during the ceremony. Isaac Larbi, who placed first runner-up, received a 55-inch TCL television for demonstrating strong savings growth, while Bernard Oduro, the second runner-up, was awarded a mini fridge.
Several other top savers from branches across the country also received household appliances such as sound bars, blenders and rice cookers as part of the rewards.
Mr Valence noted that women entrepreneurs make up a significant portion of the institution’s clients and continue to play a vital role in economic growth. He said the victory of a female entrepreneur in the competition highlights the organisation’s commitment to supporting women-led businesses and improving financial literacy among its clients.
“Financial discipline is a journey, not a one-time achievement. Initiatives like the Advans Aha Ye D3 Promo make saving more rewarding and motivating. We want our clients to understand that the consistent effort they make today can bring meaningful rewards tomorrow,” he added.
The promotion rewarded not only customers with the highest savings but also those who showed noticeable improvement in their saving habits during the campaign. Participants from all branches of the savings and loans company were eligible and had the opportunity to win weekly and monthly prizes, including cash rewards, electronics and household appliances.
Advans Ghana says it will continue to introduce innovative financial products and initiatives to strengthen financial inclusion, support small businesses and encourage long-term savings.
A subsidiary of the Paris-based Advans Group, the institution currently serves more than 130,000 clients through 19 branches across eight regions in Ghana, providing financial services mainly to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).
