The Women’s Ministry of the New Aplaku District in the Weija Area of The Church of Pentecost has donated assorted clothing to the Tamale Airport District of the church, in support of ongoing missions work.
The presentation, held on Friday, January 23, 2026, at the Pentecost Convention Centre, was led by Deaconess Mrs Felicia Asiamah, District Women’s Leader of New Aplaku, with the support of the District Minister, Pastor Isaac Deku, and his wife, Mrs Rosina Deku. Also in attendance was Elder Emmanuel Berko, a former Protocol Officer of The Church of Pentecost, USA.
The donated items, valued at GHS 15,000.00, were carefully selected to meet practical needs within the missions field. They included: Four brand new men’s suits, 40 newly sewn clothes, 40 dresses, and 25 new half-pieces of cloth.
The gesture reflects the ministry’s conviction that missions are advanced not only through preaching, but also through tangible acts of love that affirm dignity and provide practical support to communities being reached with the gospel.
Receiving the items on behalf of the Tamale Airport District, Overseer Abraham Nartey Ameyaw, District Minister, expressed profound gratitude to the New Aplaku District Women’s Ministry. He commended their generosity and assured them that the items would be used strictly for their intended purpose.
He further noted that such support significantly strengthens the church’s work in mission areas, where material resources are often scarce, yet opportunities for gospel impact remain immense.
The New Aplaku District Women’s Ministry has set a commendable example worthy of emulation by other districts, as the church collectively pursues its vision of “Possessing the Nations” through word and deed.
