The Kojobone District of The Church of Pentecost was filled with joy and thanksgiving on Friday, December 12, 2025, as Overseer Eric Adade and his wife, Mrs Hannah Serwaa Adade, dedicated their son, baby Samuel Nyametease Adade Jnr., at a special naming ceremony held at Kojobone Central. The child’s dedication marked the fulfilment of an eight-year journey of faith, prayer, and perseverance.
The ceremony attracted pastors, church leaders, family members, friends, and community representatives. It was chaired by the Kete-Krachi Area Head, Pastor Charles K Fosu, who was accompanied by his wife, Mrs Gifty Fosu. Ministers from other Christian denominations in Kojobone, as well as representatives from the Kojobone Chief’s Palace, were also present, underscoring the significance of the occasion.
Pastor Alex Buobu delivered the exhortation on the theme, “Biblical Parenting: A Case Study of Eunice and Timothy,” drawing from 2 Timothy 1:5 and 3:14–17. He encouraged parents to be intentional in planting sincere faith, godly values, and positive habits in their children, emphasising that effective parenting requires deliberate spiritual investment. He further noted that parents are custodians of the future of the Church and must therefore mentor their children through godly example, consistency, and love. He also stressed the need for holistic child development, urging families to nurture children spiritually, socially, intellectually, and physically through practices such as family altars, Bible reading, Sunday School participation, and good personal discipline.
At the height of the service, Mrs Hannah Serwaa Adade shared a moving testimony, recounting how she and her husband waited patiently on God for eight years for the fruit of the womb. She explained that despite several medical consultations, tests, and treatments, no solution was found. However, their faith in God remained steadfast. She testified that during the Pre-Christmas Pastors and Wives Retreat organised by the Area Head last year, they engaged in earnest prayer, after which God answered them with the gift of conception.
The testimony ignited heartfelt praise and thanksgiving among the congregation, strengthening the faith of many present. The service ended in joyful celebration as the Kojobone District rejoiced with the Adade family, giving glory to God for His faithfulness and perfect timing.
