The immediate past General Secretary of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Alexander Nana Yaw Kumi-Larbi, has donated 3,135 copies of his newly published book, Integrity in a Compromised World, to ministers, staff, ministerial students and other key functionaries of the Church.
The presentation took place on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, during the ongoing 2026 Global Ministers Conference at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC), Gomoa Fetteh. The Chairman of the Church, Apostle Dr Eric Nyamekye, received the books on behalf of the church.
Expressing the Church’s appreciation, the General Secretary, Apostle Samuel Gyau Obuobi, commended Apostle Kumi-Larbi, who currently serves as the Ashaiman Area Head and a member of the Executive Council, for what he described as a thoughtful and generous gesture. He noted that the book’s themes were both timely and essential, particularly in strengthening the spiritual and ethical formation of ministers across the church.
Integrity in a Compromised World examines the essence of Christian character and exhorts believers, especially leaders, to uphold irreproachable conduct in both their private and public lives. The book challenges readers to remain anchored in biblical values, stay faithful to their calling, and resist the increasing pressures of moral compromise in today’s rapidly evolving world.
The book has garnered endorsements from several prominent Christian leaders, academics and professionals, including Apostle Dr Eric Nyamekye, Chairman of The Church of Pentecost and President of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC).
A review of the book reveals several compelling insights that encourage readers to embrace the discipline of integrity. Among them are:
- “It is worth emphasising that integrity is not a virtue reserved only for pastors, public leaders or people in positions of power. At its core, integrity is the daily lifestyle of every Christian who desires to reflect the character of Christ.” (p. 8)
- “One of the greatest threats to integrity is self-interest. Many people compromise their values when faced with opportunities for personal gain, wealth, or power.” (p. 12)
- “At the heart of integrity lies truth. Integrity cannot exist without a commitment to truth—truth in our words, our actions, and in the way we treat others. Truth is the stabilising force that guides us through life’s challenges.” (p. 13)
- “The test of integrity is found in private decisions, unseen sacrifices, and silent battles against temptation.” (p. 13)
- “Integrity does not mean being perfect; it means striving to align our actions with our values, even when perfection is impossible. It is the commitment to act honourably, even when we fail or fall short.” (p. 14)
