The Chairman of the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Committee (RCC) of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Peter Kofi Dzemekey, has urged the youth to rise as agents of transformation, acting as catalysts for significant personal growth and broader societal change.
According to him, believers are the light in darkness and the salt of the earth; therefore, it is essential to align themselves with the Church’s 2026 theme and ensure that campuses, communities, and workplaces feel the impact of lives empowered by the Holy Spirit.
Apostle Dzemekey made this statement while delivering his address at the opening session of the 2026 PENSA Ghana Conference at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) campus on Thursday evening, 1 January 2025.
The annual conference, which has become a major gathering for Pentecostal students and young adults, focuses on deepening the faith of thousands of young people. It has consistently transformed lives through networking for spiritual and professional growth within the vision of The Church of Pentecost.
This year’s conference, held under the theme “The Church Unleashed to Transform Society through the Gospel and the Power of the Holy Spirit” (referenced from Acts 8:8-8, 13:1-2 and Colossians 1:3-6), aims to equip believers to actively influence their workplaces, communities, and nations so that God’s Kingdom values impact society.
Apostle Dzemekey, who also serves as the Asokwa Area Head, emphasised that the gathering was not merely a meeting of believers but a call and reminder that the gospel is not only to be preached within the four walls of the church but lived out boldly in every sphere of society.
“As young people empowered by the Holy Spirit, we are unleashed to reform and transform our world with the life and truth of Christ. We trust God for an encounter that will ignite our faith, sharpen our vision, and release fresh grace for service,” he said.
He highlighted the importance of men and women arising as agents of transformation, light in darkness, and salt of the earth, noting that renewal comes through the Word of God but becomes effective and active when preached in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Apostle Dzemekey further encouraged the gathering to avail themselves for the ignition of the Holy Spirit’s unquenchable fire in their hearts to spark a passion for soul-winning.
He concluded by urging participants to remain present, focused, and attentive throughout every session, assuring them that they would leave empowered and transformed, declaring “alignment to destiny, acceleration to purpose, and divine favour upon their every step.”
“On behalf of the Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Dr Eric Nyamekye, the Executive Council, PENSA Ghana, Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council, Organising Committee, and PENSA KNUST family, I declare this conference officially open,” he ended.
