God Rewards Faithful Service – Chairman Encourages Leaders During Weija Area Visitation

The Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Dr Eric Nyamekye, has commenced a four-day working visit to the newly created Weija Area, beginning on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, with an impactful All Officers’ Session held at the New Weija Central (Mandela).
The atmosphere was filled with excitement and expectation as officers and church leaders gathered to receive spiritual impartation. The Chairman, equally energised and purposeful, delivered a poignant message grounded in Hebrews 6:9–10 and Psalm 103:1–5, reminding leaders that although the Church does not remunerate with money, God Himself faithfully rewards the labour of His servants.
“God is a rewarder; He is not unjust,” he stated, encouraging officers to work even harder now that the Weija Area – carved out of the Kasoa Area earlier this year – has been fully established and entrusted to their stewardship.
Drawing further from 1 Chronicles 9:10–11 and 11:10–11, Apostle Dr Nyamekye highlighted that God remembers those who support His work. “David’s helpers were mentioned by name to show that no one who serves faithfully is ever forgotten,” he noted. He urged leaders to actively support their Area Head and contribute wholeheartedly to building a strong and vibrant Area.
The Chairman emphasised faithfulness as the primary support every leader must bring; faithfulness in prayer, faithfulness in handling church resources, and faithfulness in performing all duties through the power of the Holy Spirit. Quoting Richard Baxter, he reminded them that ministers must continually seek “light, life, and strength from God,” for human ability alone is insufficient for the sacred work of ministry.
He admonished church leaders, especially preachers, to cultivate a strong prayer life. “A prayerless ministry brings loss to God’s church,” he cautioned. Members, he added, must also pray for their pastors. “We do not qualify to criticise pastors we do not pray for,” he said, advising leaders to lovingly correct those who specialise in fault-finding rather than supporting the ministry.
Referencing Jonathan Edwards, the Chairman remarked that many ministers would achieve far more if believers used the same energy spent on criticism to pray for them. “You cannot change what you do not love,” he said, warning that yielding to the enemy’s accusing spirit weakens church leadership.
Apostle Dr Nyamekye further assured the officers that God’s presence is the true beauty and power of the Church. He urged them not to oppose the Church but to appreciate its divine heritage. “Believe in the God of this Church. Bless the Church, and it will bless you in return,” he concluded.
