A remarkable testimony of healing was recorded in the Sogakope District of The Church of Pentecost during a morning prayer session held on Friday, October 10, 2025, at the Bethel Assembly Prayer Grounds. The service, led by the Sogakope District Minister, Pastor Frederick Tetteh, became a moment of divine encounter for Madam Doris Akakpo, a 36-year-old resident of Yedzi.
According to the family, Madam Akakpo travelled to Agave Avegagorme on September 20, 2025, to visit her children, who reside with their father. Upon her arrival, her younger daughter ran to welcome her. This development reportedly resulted in a misunderstanding between Madam Akakpo and her former mother-in-law, who was present at the time and maintained that Madam Akakpo no longer had the right to visit the children following the dissolution of her marriage.
The following morning, Madam Akakpo woke up unable to hear or speak and was physically weak – requiring support to walk and perform basic activities. Her condition persisted for a week.
She was later taken to the hospital on Friday, September 26, 2025, but after a week without improvement, her younger brother, Deacon Wisdom Hodoameda, sought her discharge on Saturday, October 5, 2025, so he could care for her at home.
With faith in God, Deacon Hodoameda brought his sister to the Bethel Assembly Prayer Grounds on Friday, October 10, 2025, during a prayer session. It was during this period of intercession that Madam Akakpo experienced what witnesses described as an immediate and complete healing. She began to speak, sing, and walk unaided, prompting heartfelt praise to God from those present.
The congregation expressed gratitude to God for the divine intervention.
