The Pent Media Centre (PMC) has launched the maiden edition of the West Africa Green Economy Roundtable and Awards (WAGER 2025) ceremony, a strategic platform for stakeholders to shape a sustainable future for West Africa.
Apostle Dr Dieudonne Komla Nuekpe, La Area Head and Executive Council member of the church, said this in an address read on behalf of the PMC Board Chairman, Apostle Dr David Nyansah Hayfron, during the WAGER 2025 Awards held at the Alisa Hotel in Accra on Wednesday, September 24, 2025. The event marked the 10th anniversary of Pent TV, reflecting the Church’s commitment to environmental stewardship.
He noted that West Africa stands at a crossroads, blessed with vast natural resources yet facing harsh realities of rapid urbanisation, industrialisation, and climate change. Apostle Dr Nuekpe urged participants to reimagine their future through the lens of sustainability and green growth, stressing that “we will not only debate policy but also showcase solutions…and present opportunities.”
Apostle Dr Nuekpe described WAGER 2025 as a journey requiring courage, collaboration, and consistency, praying that it would birth “green champions, icons, and innovators who will shape the destiny of our region for generations to come.”
He added: “With this initiative, the Pent Media Centre underscores its commitment to promoting a future where economic growth aligns with environmental sustainability. Caring for creation is not a political option—it is a divine mandate.”
