TEMA, Ghana— The Harbour City Mass Choir, a renowned non-denominational group based in Tema, is making a significant return to Ghana’s gospel music scene with a new album, following a widely attended listening party.
After a period out of the spotlight, the choir debuted a ten-track album recorded live in November 2024. Music lovers, fellow artists, promoters, and industry stakeholders attended the preview, rekindling interest in the choir’s signature inspirational sound.
Music director Edmund Laryea Annang expressed, “Being in the background for a while was because we were working on the live recording project. We decided to take on this project as a revival for the choir and the body of Christ. Songs like ‘Resounding Praise’ were written over two years—these melodies blessed us during our retreats, and we now want to share them with the world.”
The new album is expected to spark a revival in Ghana’s gospel landscape and inspire both the group and its audience.
