Pent Media Centre’s Head of Documentaries and Special Reports, Daniel Kwabena Mantey, has been selected for the 2025 Solutions Journalism West Africa Fellowship, a prestigious initiative aimed at strengthening the capacity of journalists across the sub-region to produce impactful, solutions-oriented reporting.
The announcement was made by Nigeria Health Watch, organisers of the fellowship, in a press release on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.
Mr. Mantey is among a select group of journalists from Ghana, Nigeria, Liberia, and Sierra Leone chosen for the four-month program.
As part of the fellowship, Daniel Mantey will receive financial support and editorial guidance to produce in-depth stories that focus on solutions to pressing societal problems. His reporting will spotlight innovative responses to challenges in public health, education, the environment, and development, especially within underserved communities.

The fellowship also includes professional virtual learning, mentorship, and fieldwork across Ghana and Nigeria.
The Solutions Journalism Fellowship is expected to boost Pent Media Centre’s capacity to deliver more constructive and socially impactful content. It also reflects the growing recognition of the Christian media hub’s contribution to public interest journalism in Ghana and beyond.
