The Koforidua Sector of the Pentecost Students and Associates (PENSA) has successfully concluded its off-campus outreach as part of the end-of-semester vacation, resulting in 766 new converts and the establishment of three local assemblies.
The initiative was carried out by two mission teams. The first team comprised members from the Presbyterian College of Education, Akropong-Akuapem, and the Presbyterian Women’s College of Education, Aburi, who ministered in the Agormanya Area from May 3-11, 2025. Operating under the theme, ‘Jesus Christ – Saviour of the Never-Dying Soul (Salvator Animae),’ their outreach spanned Juapong and Adjena districts.
Meanwhile, PENSA Koforidua Technical University (KTU) embarked on a mission in the Effiduase Area from May 8-13, 2025. Their efforts, centered on the theme, ‘Jesus Christ – the Light and the Life’ (John 1:4, John 8:12), covered nine districts, including Effiduase, Kukurantumi, New Tafo, Old Tafo, Begoro Odumase, Ahomahomaso, Dedeso, Dorminase, and Ehiamankyene.
The cumulative impact of these missions has led to 766 souls being won for Christ. Additionally, three new Local Assemblies have been established at Ahyia Yeboah (Kukurantumi District), Deposuah (New Tafo District), and Fatreni (Ehiamankyene District). The outreach also saw 168 children embracing the gospel, while 166 backsliders rededicated their lives to Christ. So far, 208 of the new converts have undergone water baptism.
Speaking in an interview, Pastor Gordon Ansah, PENSA Travelling Secretary for the Sector and Youth Ministry National Executive Committee Secretary, highlighted that these efforts align with the church’s Unleashing Agenda under ‘Possessing the Nations Phase II,’ as well as the Youth Ministry’s commitment to mobilizing young people to influence their world for Christ.
Pastor Ansah expressed deep gratitude to Apostle Mike Kwame Etrue, Koforidua Area Head and Eastern RCC Coordinator, for his continuous encouragement and support. He also acknowledged Apostles Samuel Kojo Gakpetor (Agormanya Area) and Stephen Okyere Acheampong (Effiduase Area) for their immense contributions to the success of the outreach.
He further commended Apostle Dr Ebenezer Hagan, Youth Director, and his team for their consistency in empowering young people for Kingdom impact.
Pastor Ansah offered prayers for God’s blessings upon PENSA members and alumni in the Koforidua Sector, recognising their passion and commitment to missions.
