Former Member of Parliament for the Abirem Constituency in the Eastern Region, Hon. Esther Obeng Dapaah, delivered an inspiring message of faith and resilience to women during a special Mother’s Day celebration at the S. K. Ofosu Memorial Temple (SKOMT) in the New Aplaku District of the Kasoa Area of The Church of Pentecost on Sunday, May 12, 2025.

A deaconess of The Church of Pentecost, Hon. Obeng Dapaah, a former Minister of Lands and Natural Resources under the Kufuor Administration, shared her personal journey as a powerful testimony of God’s faithfulness.

Widowed at the age of 25, she recounted the challenges of raising her children alone. Despite the hardships, she leaned on her faith, took on menial jobs, pursued her education, and remained active in church ministry.

While living in the UK, she walked long distances to evangelise, distributed gospel tracts, and remained unwavering in her commitment to God. Her life, she emphasised, is a testament to the rewards of faith, diligence, and steadfast trust in God.

As the guest speaker, Hon. Obeng Dapaah delivered a heartfelt message that deeply resonated with the congregation. She encouraged Christian women to remain resilient, work hard, and trust in God for strength and breakthroughs, regardless of their circumstances.

The event, marked with vibrant celebration, featured uplifting praise and worship, heartfelt tributes to mothers, the presentation of thoughtful gifts, and a delightful refreshment package shared with all attendees. It was a joyful and meaningful tribute to the invaluable role of mothers and women in both the church and society.

Distinguished guests present included Apostle A. K. Miah (retired), Mrs Doris Amabeley (retired), Pastor Isaac Deku (District Minister) and his wife, Rosina, along with elders, deacons, and deaconesses of the assembly.

The celebration concluded on a joyful and uplifting note, leaving mothers feeling honored and appreciated, and the entire congregation inspired to cherish and celebrate the gift of womanhood.
