
Apostle Dr. Samuel Yaw Antwi (Rtd.), Board Chairman of Pent Media Centre, was among the distinguished recipients of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees at the 57th Congregation of the University of Cape Coast (UCC).
The ceremony, held yesterday at the university’s main campus in Cape Coast as part of the 15th session of the 57th Congregation, saw 1,187 students graduate from the School of Graduate Studies across various disciplines. Apostle Dr. Antwi’s achievement was a highlight of the event, drawing admiration from guests and the wider Church community.
Graduands were awarded degrees and diplomas in diverse fields, including PhD, Master of Philosophy (MPhil), Master of Commerce (MCom), Master of Nursing, and Master of Education (MEd).
Speaking to PENT NEWS, Apostle Samuel Antwi, who now holds a doctorate in Guidance and Counseling, expressed his gratitude to God for the grace to pursue and complete the rigorous academic journey. He also encouraged younger ministers and professionals to embrace lifelong learning and contribute meaningfully to both Church and society.
The Vice-Chancellor of UCC, Professor Johnson Nyarko Boampong, in his address, commended the academic strides made by the institution and challenged the graduating class to be adaptable and impactful in their various endeavours.
The colourful ceremony was attended by dignitaries from the education sector, family and friends of the graduands, and featured the presentation of special awards to outstanding students. The Valedictorian, Justina Adams, also shared her reflections and inspiration in an interview with Pent TV.
