Prophet Samuel Tetteh Doku, the New Tafo Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, has called on Christians to uphold a clear and distinct spiritual identity, avoiding the blurring of lines between their faith and secular influences.
“Our identity must be clear-cut and recognisable in how we live, speak, dress, and interact with the world around us,” he stressed.
Speaking on the topic, “Identity of the New Creation” during the climax of the New Tafo Zone Easter Convention on Sunday, April 20, 2025, at the New Tafo M/A Division School Park, he urged believers to fully embrace their new life in Christ as a testimony to God’s transformative power.
Referencing scripture such as John 12:24, 2 Corinthians 5:17, and Ephesians 4:22-34, Prophet Tetteh Doku highlighted the importance of believers living as true children of God by forsaking their former ways and aligning with God’s will. He noted that every new creation undergoes the experience of being born again—a process in which the Holy Spirit revitalises the believer’s dead spirit, granting them deeper understanding and insight into God’s Word.
The New Tafo Area Head also emphasisepd that being a new creation involves embodying God’s divine nature (2 Peter 1:4, Galatians 2:20), which is characterised by righteousness, holiness, love, humility, patience, and generosity.
In conclusion, Prophet Tetteh Doku urged believers to walk in great grace and power, demonstrating God’s greatness through signs and miracles, while cautioning them against being overly influenced by material wealth.
“Signs and miracles must follow you because God’s power in you is great,” he declared.
The New Tafo Zone, comprising five districts — New Tafo, Ashtown, Yennyawoso, Sepe-Buokrom, and Buokrom Estate, drew a total of over 7000 members at the conclusion of the event.
