The Effiduase Area Head of the of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Stephen Okyere Acheampong, has urged Christians to live in the power of the resurrection, saying, ‘The evidence of God’s power in you is in the resurrection of Christ.’

Apostle Acheampong said this in a message he delivered at the climax of the Effiduase Zone Easter Convention, held at the forecourt of Ebenezer Assembly in Effiduase, Koforidua, on Sunday, April 20, 2025.

He described power as the ability to act at any time and in any manner one desires. Power can change circumstances and affect people; it can create and destroy, he disclosed.

Quoting Exodus 9:13-16, Exodus 15:6-7, and Ephesians 1:18-21, Apostle Acheampong explained that when King Pharaoh refused to let the Israelites leave Egypt, God demonstrated His power, saving the Israelites from slavery. He noted that power is exercised in the presence of a second party, mentioning that the Egyptians subjected the Israelites to cruelty until God exercised His power over them.

Apostle Acheampong added that just as Pharaoh did not want the Israelites to leave because he benefited from them, Satan will not let people go easily. However, with the power of the resurrection, Christians have the power to break free from the bondage of the enemy.

He emphasised that when God demonstrated His power over the Egyptians, the Israelites found favour and plundered the Egyptians before leaving.

‘The power of God can turn things around in your favour,’ he added.

The Effiduase Area Head further stated that in the resurrection of Christ, God demonstrated His power, which is available to everyone who believes.

‘When God’s power is at work, anything is possible, and anyone who tries to resist will face the consequences, just as Pharaoh’s resistance resulted in the death of his son and his people,’ he cautioned.

Apostle Acheampong concluded his sermon by saying that the power of God brings restoration. The power of God raised Jesus from the dead, rolled the stone away from the tomb, seated Jesus in the highest heavens, and placed all things under His feet.

‘Just as God took Pharaoh’s power and gave it to the Israelites, God has taken Satan’s power and given it to you through the power of the resurrection. Go and exercise that power in the name of Jesus,’ he concluded.
