The Counselling Pulpit, New Combine District Organise Academic Conference For Royals In Akosombo

The Counselling Pulpit, in collaboration with the New Combine District Women’s and Chieftaincy Ministries of The Church of Pentecost, has organised a groundbreaking psychological conference for all royals in Akosombo and its environs.

The conference aimed to equip royals with professional skills to handle psychological issues in the palace, improve the personalities and behaviours of participating royals, create an interactive platform for royals in Akosombo to learn from one another and socialise periodically, discuss and find solutions to issues unique to the royal world and introduce Christ as the saviour to the royals.

The strategic topics covered included promoting mental health and basic counseling skills among royals, equipping royals to handle marital conflicts in the traditional setting, managing personality for effective chieftaincy roles and longevity, and health implications of managing stress and addiction among royals.

The District Minister of New Combine, Pastor Martin Berko Kesse, engaged the royals on the topic, ‘Leading a Life Worthy of My Call as a Royal,’ presenting Jesus as the Saviour and helper.

Pastor Kesse, who is the Agormanya Area Counselling Coordinator, concluded his presentation with an altar call, leading six royals to surrender their lives to Christ.

Among the resource persons present were: Dr Cecilia Tutu Danauah (Principal of TUCEE Institute of Counseling and Management), Mrs Esther Kesse (CEO of The Counselling Pulpit), Mrs Linda Opoku Agyemang (CEO of Wholistic Devine Consult), and Dr Mrs Vivian Parker (Medical Officer at the VRA Hospital, Akosombo).

The rest were Nana Akomea Budu V (Benkumhene for Akwamuman), Nana Ansah Prem (Chief of Akosombo), and Pastor Kwakye Frimpong (Agormanya Area Chieftaincy Coordinator

The Chief of Akosombo, Nana Ansah Prem, commended the organisers and The Church of Pentecost for the impactful programme. He appealed to the organise to hold a similar event for all royals in Akwamufie.

To ensure full participation, breakfast, snacks, and lunch were provided for participants. The Moslem Community Women’s Group was commended for providing Hausa Koko and Koose free of charge. The New Combine District Women’s Ministry was also commended for sponsoring all local drinks served during cocktail breaks. The Counselling Pulpit was praised for organising the conference, designing the programme, and sponsoring the lunch meal, while Pastor Martin Berko Kesse was acknowledged for his strategic support for the conference.
