Elder Benedict Peterson and his family from the Downtown-Ofaakor Area of The Church of Pentecost have generously constructed and donated a church building, valued at GHS 410,000.00, to The Church of Pentecost.

The edifice, named Mount Zion Chapel, is located at Breman Bedum in the Breman Bisease District of the Central Region. It was dedicated on Sunday, April 13, 2025, by Apostle Dr Amos Jimmy Markin, Cape Coast Area Head and Coordinator of the Central Regional Coordinating Committee of the church, on behalf of the Chairman, Apostle Eric Nyamekye.

The facility includes two children’s auditoriums, toilet facilities, and a water reservoir, providing a comprehensive worship environment for the congregation.

Pastor Adjei Nimako Darkwa (Agona Swedru Area Head) delivered the sermon titled, ‘Serve God with Your Possessions,’ drawing inspiration from 1 Chronicles 29. He noted that true devotion to God transcends financial giving and includes offering one’s skills, time, and resources.

He stated, ‘When we acknowledge that all we have is from the Lord, giving back to Him becomes an act of gratitude rather than a burden.’

Speaking to Pent News, Elder Peterson disclosed that although he may not possess vast wealth, he felt a strong urge to build the temple for the glory of God.

The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Apostle William Ezhorhoho (Downtown-Ofaakor Area Head), traditional leaders, and the pastorate in the Agona Swedru Area, among others.
