The Centre Manager of the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC), Pastor Prince Odoom, who is also the Resident Minister of Yesu Krom Worship Centre in the Kasoa Area of The Church of Pentecost, has demonstrated remarkable compassion and generosity by spearheading an initiative to support over 200 vulnerable children and adults at Kasoa New Market.

Collaborating with the March-born members of his congregation and the Children’s Ministry, Pastor Odoom organised the provision of meals and financial aid for the beneficiaries on March 30, 2025. The initiative involved an expenditure of GH₵8,700.00 for meals, alongside a cash donation of GH₵10,000.00 to bolster ongoing efforts.

The annual philanthropic endeavour was launched by Pastor Odoom and his wife on October 28, 2022. The initiative aligns with The Church of Pentecost’s ‘Possessing the Nations’ agenda, which focuses on uplifting communities through Home and Urban Missions. Pastor Odoom attributed his inspiration to a divine vision central to his ministry.

Since its inception, the project has significantly impacted over 130 children, leading to the establishment of an adult cell group and two Vulnerable Kids’ cells in underprivileged communities near Kasoa New Market. Furthermore, it has expanded to include a Sports and Creative Arts Department under the leadership of Pastor Michael Fiifi Bortsie.

Pastor Bortsie, on his part, pledged to invest the funds in the education of the beneficiaries and to assist parents in building sustainable livelihoods.

The event was graced by some ministers, including Pastor Daniel Sewornu (Greater Accra Regional Children’s Pastor), Pastor James Amoah, Pastor Daniel Nyametease, and Pastor Isaac Abednego.
