The 2024 edition of the annual retreat for Management and Staff of The Church of Pentecost General Headquarters is currently underway at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC), Gomoa-Fetteh, near Kasoa in the Central Region.
The event which is being held under the theme, ‘Professionalism,’ formally began on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, and is expected to end on Friday, December 13, 2024.
The General Secretary of the church, Apostle Samuel Gyau Obuobi, opening the retreat on behalf of the Chairman, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, expressed gratitude to God for the successful conduct of Ghana’s recent elections.
He encouraged staff to continue serving as the administrative backbone of the church, ensuring that its mission is carried out effectively.
He stressed that the church’s calling is to declare, both in word and action, the character of Christ who resides within His people, saying, ‘This calling demands that the world sees and knows that we truly know Christ.’
He called on the staff to live lives that reflect their divine purpose, making a transformative impact in their societies and demonstrating Christ’s character in every sphere of life.
Presenting a paper on the topic, ‘Professionalism At The Workplace,’ the General Secretary urged employees to adopt a professional attitude, describing professionalism as a key driver of productivity, credibility, and overall efficiency in any organisation.
He explained that professionalism creates a positive work environment, reduces distractions, and boosts efficiency, ultimately enhancing organisational credibility.
‘Professional workers are an asset to any organisation, while unprofessional ones are liabilities,’ Apostle Obuobi stressed.
