The Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, has commended the ministers of the Church for their unwavering dedication to their congregations and their earnest work in the Lord’s vineyard.
In his welcome address to officially open the 2024 Heads’ Fasting and Prayer Meeting, being held at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC) on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, Apostle Nyamekye reminded the attendees that every labour for God will be rewarded. He announced that several ministers would be retiring from active ministry in 2025.
During the meeting, he introduced the heads who would be retiring, receiving a standing ovation in appreciation of their contributions to the Lord and service to the church. In total, nineteen heads will be retiring, comprising 16 apostles, 2 prophets, and 1 evangelist.
Apostle Eric Nyamekye also acknowledged the presence of representatives from two sister churches from other nations: The Church of Pentecost – Togo and Faith Pentecostal Church of Benin.
The Heads’ Fasting and Prayer Meeting is an annual event for apostles, prophets, and heads of various institutions and departments within the church. It is held in November to reflect prayerfully on the blessings of the nearly ending year and to seek divine guidance for the year ahead.
Apostle Nyamekye announced that the theme for 2025 is “Unleashed to Live a Life Worthy of Your Calling” taken from Ephesians 4:1, 1 Thessalonians 4:7, and Galatians 1:24.
