Chairman Meets HUM Rehabilitation Team

The Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, has met with the implementation committee of the Church’s proposed Residential Rehabilitation Centre.

The purpose of this centre is to facilitate the full restoration and reintegration of individuals with substance use disorders.

The meeting, held on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at the Church’s Headquarters, featured the presence of Apostle Emmanuel Agyei Kwafo, the National Coordinator of the Home and Urban Missions (HUM), and Pastor Prof. Joseph Osafo Adu,  Professor of Psychology (Suicidology) at the University of Ghana, Legon, and Resident Minister of East Legon Worship Centre.

Also present were members of the National HUM Committee, including Pastor Emmanuel Foster Asamoah, Mrs. Abigail Ofei-Badu, and Elder Alfred Langdon, along with two HUM Pastors and other distinguished professionals in General Medicine, Psychiatry, and Pharmacy, all of whom are members of the implementation committee.

During the meeting, Apostle Nyamekye shared insights from Luke 4:18-22, encouraging everyone present to embrace the Great Commission, emphasising that the anointing and grace of God will empower them to help all people, regardless of potential challenges and opposition.

In a presentation, Overseer Dr. Vincent Anohene Appiah provided an update of the committee’s   work since its inception and discussed the way forward for the proposed residential rehabilitation centre.

Apostle Emmanuel Agyei Kwafo expressed gratitude to the Chairman for his vision regarding the rehabilitation centre and the support extended to the committee.
