GPCC-StarLife Assurance Supports Pentecost Hospital

The Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPSS) in partnership with StarLife Assurance, an insurance company has donated some equipment and suppliers to support the maternity ward of the Pentecost hospital.

The items include syringes, bedspreads, sterilizers, cotton gauze, thermometers, cleaning detergents, packs of tissues, and among others.

The donation which forms part of GPCC and Starlife Assurance’s social responsibilities also intended to complement the just-ended Mother’s Day celebration.

Speaking to the media at a brief ceremony to present the items, the General Secretary of GPCC, Apostle Immanuel Nii Okuley Tettey explained that the Pentecost hospital was not selected exclusively for the donation.

According to him, GPCC member Churches with health facilities in Tarkwa, Twifo Agona, Bompata, Kasoa, Obuasi, and Kumasi have also received similar support from StarLife Assurance.

‘’As partners with StarLife Assurance, we go round to support hospitals and communities so that together we can provide quality healthcare to the people’’, he asserted.

Receiving the items on behalf of the hospital, a Specialist Surgeon, Dr. Emmanuel Kafui Ayodeji expressed delight at the gesture and called on other organizations to emulate it.

He further indicated that due to the unstable nature of the Ghanaian economy, some organizations and institutions fail to recall that they are mandated to provide corporate social responsibilities in the communities where they work.

He said, ‘’We are supposed to cater for the community where we operate that way, we’ll improve the livelihood of the people and also make the company marketable’’.

Meanwhile, the GPCC and StarLife Assurance also presented an envelop with unspecified amount of money to support some of the less privileged at the maternity ward.
