‘Maternal Mortality Likely to Rise’-Dr. James Duah
The Deputy Executive Director for Christians Health Association of Ghana (CHAG), Dr. James Duah has expressed worry about the rapid state at which nurses and midwives are departing the country in search for a better working condition, stating that if it continues, may inadvertently complicate maternal mortality.
Addressing a gathering at the official launch of the International Day of the Midwives in Koforidua of the Eastern region, on the theme, ‘’Midwives, a Vital Climate Solution’', Dr. Duah disclosed that last year, some two thousand, six hundred and thirty (2,630) nurses and midwives left the shores of the country.
