The Black Stars of Ghana are scheduled to play with their Portuguese counterparts on Thursday, November 24, 2022 in the World Cup tournament which started in Qatar on Sunday. In-country, the love for the national team seems to be picking up following their win over Switzerland in the recent friendly match. What remains now is whether the players will receive the needed fan support to spur them on during the tournament. A senior medical officer at the Manhyia government’s Hospital Mother and Baby Unit has urged parents to disregard wild beliefs that preterm birth is a spiritual condition and to insist on quality medical care for their babies. According to Dr. Yaa Dufie Amo-Mensah, many mothers are discouraged from seeking quality medical attention at health facilities and instead seek treatment from herbalists and spiritualists. A newly-constructed road at Ntobroso in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region was used by some farmers to dry cocoa beans. In a video on social media, one side of the tarred road was covered with cocoa beans. “Since when did we start drying cocoa beans in the middle of the road?” the Ashanti Regional Minister questioned.
