The boss of Spotify says he has no plans to completely ban content created by artificial intelligence from the music streaming platform. Earlier this year the platform pulled a track featuring AI-cloned voices of the performers Drake and The Weeknd. Daniel Ek told the BBC there were valid uses of the tech in making music - but AI should not be used to impersonate human artists without their consent. He said using AI in music was likely to be debated for "many, many years". Mr Ek, who rarely speaks to the media, said that he saw three "buckets" of AI use: tools such as auto-tune which improve music, which he believed were acceptabletools which mimic artists, which were notand a more contentious middle ground where music created by AI was clearly influenced by existing artists...

Amazon will invest up to $4bn (£3.3bn) in San Francisco-based AI firm Anthropic, mirroring the earlier tie-up between Microsoft and OpenAI. It is the latest multi-billion dollar investment in a race among the big tech firms to exploit the potential of artificial intelligence. Amazon recently said it would use AI to boost its Alexa voice assistant's conversational powers. Anthropic has its own ChatGPT rival called Claude. 2 dead, others injured in road accident at Asankare Barrier

Two people reportedly died on the spot in an accident involving a VIP yutong bus and trailer at Asankare barrier in the Asante Akyem South district of the Ashanti region. The accident which occurred Saturday night also left several others injured. According reports, the VIP bus with registration number GE 6167-19, travelling from Accra-Kumasi collided with the trailer heading to Accra. It is unclear how the driver of the VIP bus veered off its lane and collided head-on with the trailer. Many passengers also were left with fractured limbs. The Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) has announced that engineers will be working on the main transmission pipeline from the Kpong Treatment Plant to the eastern part of Accra. For this reason, the management of GWCL in a press statement, revealed that there will be an interruption in water supply from Sunday 24th September to Thursday 28th September 2023.
