Konkoni was among a six-man shortlist for the award alongside Sampson Eduku(Tamale City), Issah Kuka (RTU), Bassit Siedu(Accra Lions), Steven Mukwala (Asante Kotoko) and Kalo Ouattara (Berekum Chelsea). Konkoni beat all to the award with his impressive performance, scoring four goals out of five matches played. The Bechem United forward also won the NASCO Man of the Match Award once during the last month. He will receive a 43-inch NASCO Television from Electroland Ghana Limited.

The head of Kenya’s standards regulator and 26 other government officials have been suspended over the release of 1,000 tonnes of expired sugar into the market. A statement by the head of public service, Felix Koskei, said 20,000 bags of sugar imported into the country in 2018 and condemned by the regulator had been “irregularly diverted and unprocedurally released”. The Kenya Bureau of Standards had then declared the sugar as unfit for human consumption and was set for destruction through conversion to industrial ethanol. The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has released a list of three persons wanted in connection with various criminal activities. The list, which was shared on Twitter, contains the details of Ezekiel Mensah Otoo, Nicholas Gyekye, and Derrick Obeng, a.k.a Chiling. Ezekiel is wanted for alleged offences of stealing and involvement in SIM swap fraud.
