The General Secretary of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Samuel Gyau Obuobi, has called on believers to boldly share their personal encounters with Christ as a testimony of God’s transforming power and mercy.
He made this call when he joined the Labone Central and English Assemblies for a joint service to climax the 2025 National Youth Week Celebration on Sunday October 26,2025.
Preaching on the theme “Go and Tell”, with references from Mark 5:19–20, Apostle Obuobi highlighted that Jesus’ instruction to the man delivered from demonic possession was a call to every believer to testify of what the Lord has done. “The man wanted to follow Jesus, but he was rather told to go back home and tell his friends how much the Lord had done for him and how He had shown him mercy,” he explained.
He emphasized that evangelism begins with personal testimony, not complex theology, and that every believer is a witness of God’s goodness. “Going to tell does not require formal training; it requires a genuine experience with Jesus,” he added.
Also present at the service were the Director of the Youth Ministry, Apostle Dr. Ebenezer Hegan, the Adabraka District Pastor, Pastor Emmanuel Osei Agyapong, and the Labone District Pastor, Pastor Augustine Dorman-Kantiampong.
The climax service featured vibrant performances including spoken word, drama, and choreography, all centered on the “Go and Tell” message. The event concluded with a renewed sense of commitment among the youth to share the gospel and live out the Great Commission in their daily lives.
The 2025 National Youth Week Celebration, observed nationwide under the theme “Unleashed to Go and Tell,” seeks to ignite a movement of young believers who boldly proclaim the saving grace of Christ.
