The Church of Pentecost has achieved a remarkable milestone with its global membership nearing 5 million. To the glory of God, the Church now boasts a total membership of 4,827,074, reflecting a growth rate of 6.4%.

Apostle Eric Nyamekye, Chairman of the Church, shared this achievement during the 2024 State-of-the-Church Address (SOCA 2024) on April 30, 2025, at the 47th General Council Meeting, held at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC) in Gomoa-Fetteh.

Of the 4.8 million members, 4,129,412 reside in Ghana, making up 85.5% of the total membership, while external branches account for 697,662 members, or 14.5%.

The Chairman revealed that 85.5% of the global membership is based in Ghana, totaling 4,129,412 members, while external branches contribute 14.5%, with 697,662 members, including the two autonomous nations of Benin and Côte d’Ivoire.

This steady increase in membership highlights the global appeal and influence of the Church.

Apostle Nyamekye stressed that while the Church continues to expand geographically, the primary focus remains on the spiritual growth and community impact of its members. He stated, “This remarkable growth is a testament to the faith and commitment of our members worldwide. We remain focused on fulfilling our mission to spread the Gospel and support communities through every step of our journey.”

While the Church’s global mission continues to spread to new territories, its growing membership reflects the strength of its ministry, providing spiritual guidance and fostering a sense of community among believers.

In 2024, the Church also expanded to 20 new countries, bringing its presence to 190 nations.

The State of the Church Address (SOCA) is an annual report presented by the Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, typically during the opening session of the General Council Meetings—the highest decision-making body of the Church. Modeled in part after the “State of the Nation” format, SOCA provides a comprehensive overview of the Church’s spiritual, administrative, and social interventions for the previous year.

This year’s General Council Meeting, which officially commenced on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, is being held under the theme: “Unleashed to Live a Life Worthy of Your Calling” (Ephesians 4:1; 1 Thessalonians 4:7; Galatians 1:24).
