The Executive Chairman of the Jospong Group of Companies, Elder Joseph Siaw Agyepong, has encouraged Christian entrepreneurs to remain steadfast in pursuing their business aspirations, reminding them that every successful enterprise begins with humble beginnings.
Speaking at the Business Summit held as part of the Pentecost Conference 2026 in Oberhausen, Germany, Elder Agyepong challenged participants not to be discouraged by modest starts but to remain committed to building businesses that will grow and make a lasting impact.
Drawing lessons from the life of Jesus Christ, he noted that before beginning His public ministry, Jesus worked as a carpenter, learning a trade and developing practical skills.
“Jesus did not start big,” he said. “He started as an apprentice, learning the trade. So when you are starting your business on a small note, don’t get worried. It will grow.”
According to Elder Agyepong, many aspiring entrepreneurs become discouraged because they compare their beginnings with the success of established businesses. He urged believers instead to focus on developing their skills, remaining faithful in the early stages and trusting God for steady growth.
He explained that every great business is built through patience, consistency and a clear vision, rather than the pursuit of overnight success.
Encouraging participants to embrace a mindset of growth, Elder Agyepong said entrepreneurs must be willing to learn, adapt and persevere, just as apprentices dedicate themselves to mastering their craft before becoming experts.
He also underscored the importance of financial stewardship, noting that Scripture places significant emphasis on the responsible management of resources. He encouraged Christians to take their financial lives seriously and view business as a platform for creating value, generating employment and advancing God’s Kingdom.
Addressing the gathering, Elder Agyepong cast a vision for believers to think beyond small ambitions and build businesses capable of transforming communities and nations.
“Our vision is great, the money is big, and the impact is glorious,” he said, urging participants to pursue excellence with faith and determination.
