The Church of Pentecost, Sabuli District in the Wa Area, has donated assorted items valued at GHS 13,475 to the Wa Methodist School for the Blind, reflecting its commitment to societal transformation.
The donation, made on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, aligns with the Church’s Vision 2028 agenda, which emphasizes intentional ministry to all segments of society, including Persons with Disabilities (MPWD), a specialized ministry of the Church.
The items were carefully selected based on the school’s expressed needs and included 50 reams of Braille sheets, 50 bags of sachet water, 300 drinking cups, 15 packs of soft drinks, 5 packs of bottled water, 5 bags of rice, 1 bag of beans, and 1 bag of groundnuts.
Receiving the donation, the Headmistress of the school, Rev Monica Achana, commended the Sabuli District for consulting the school on its priority needs before making the contribution, describing the approach as thoughtful and commendable. The School Chaplain, Rev Paul Yereyor, also expressed gratitude and led the students in prayer for the church and all contributors. In response, the students offered songs of thanksgiving to God.
The delegation from The Church of Pentecost was led by Probationary Overseer Ebenezer Enyinful and his wife, Mrs Dorcas Enyinful. Other members included Overseer Benjamin Sekyere, Wa Area Coordinator for the Ministry to Persons with Disabilities and District Minister for the Lassia District, as well as Pastor Kofi Antwi Boakye of Fountain Gate Chapel, Jubilee Pastures, Kumasi.
Speaking at the event, Overseer Enyinful acknowledged the support of the Wa Area Head, Apostle Bernard Azizu Mohammed Abogorago, and his wife, Mrs Vida Abogorago, while conveying appreciation to all donors who made the gesture possible.
The donation forms part of the church’s broader Vision 2028 efforts to demonstrate Christ’s love through practical interventions that impact lives and foster community transformation.
