The Tarkwa Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Dr. David Nyansah Hayfron, has highlighted the extraordinary fulfilment of Messianic prophecies in Jesus Christ, describing it as a divine mystery that surpassed human expectations.
Speaking at the climax of the 2026 Easter Convention at the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC), Tarkwa on Sunday, April 5, 2026, he explained that although the Jewish people anticipated a Messiah, many found it difficult to accept that one person could fulfil the numerous prophecies spoken about Him.
According to Apostle Dr Hayfron, more than 300 prophecies pointed to the coming Messiah—covering His lineage, mission, and authority—all of which were fulfilled in Jesus Christ.
He noted that the Jews expected a purely human leader, a descendant of King David, who would restore the Davidic kingdom, unite Israel, and establish global political rule. However, he explained that God’s plan went far beyond these expectations.
“God worked through a complex divine agenda to bring salvation to humanity because sin is not cheap,” he stated.
Apostle Hayfron further indicated that through Christ, God transformed the criteria for belonging to His people—from physical descent and outward practices to inward transformation through faith.
“In the New Testament, being part of God’s people is no longer about lineage, but about the circumcision of the heart,” he emphasised.
He added that through salvation in Christ, God has fulfilled His promise of gathering all people, with believers now forming a spiritual community described as “living stones” being built into God’s eternal kingdom.
He concluded that Jesus Christ remains the centrepiece of God’s redemptive plan, perfectly fulfilling prophecy while opening the way for all humanity to become part of God’s family.
