The Shiloh House Choir of the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC), Cape Coast, undertook a music evangelism outreach at Edinaman Senior High School (SHS) in Elmina on Sunday, March 29, 2026, as part of The Church of Pentecost’s “Possessing the Nations” vision.
The outreach formed part of ongoing efforts by the church to reach young people with the gospel through creative and engaging methods. During the visit, the choir ministered through a variety of gospel songs that conveyed messages of hope, love and redemption. The musical ministration created an atmosphere of reflection among students and staff, many of whom actively participated in the programme.
The choir’s presentation was well received by the school community, with several students showing keen interest in the message shared through the songs. At the end of the outreach, 36 students responded positively to the gospel message, marking a significant outcome of the evangelistic effort.
Speaking after the event, the Choir Leader, Deacon Emmanuel Ewusie-Mensah, expressed appreciation for the opportunity to serve and share the gospel with the students. He noted that the team remained grateful to God for the impact made and expressed hope that the message delivered through music would continue to influence the lives of the students. He further prayed that the seeds sown during the outreach would grow and lead many to develop a lasting relationship with Jesus Christ.
The outreach aligns with The Church of Pentecost’s “Possessing the Nations” vision, a global initiative aimed at spreading the message of Christ to all people groups and equipping believers to influence their communities positively. Music evangelism has become an effective tool within the church’s outreach strategy, particularly among young people, where music serves as a powerful medium for communicating the gospel.
Leadership of PIWC Cape Coast has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting similar outreach initiatives that target schools and youth populations. Such programmes are intended to nurture spiritual growth among young people and encourage them to make godly choices in their academic and personal lives.
The Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC), Cape Coast, continues to serve as a centre of worship that brings together people from diverse national and cultural backgrounds to express their faith in Jesus Christ and fellowship with one another. The assembly is currently led by the Resident Minister, Pastor Samuel Kwaku Asare, with the support of the local leadership.
The Shiloh House Choir’s outreach to Edinaman SHS highlights the continued commitment of the church to advancing evangelism through music and contributing to the spiritual development of young people within the community.
