The Wa Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle B.A.M. Abogorago, has urged believers to faithfully deploy their God-given gifts in service to both God and humanity.
He made the call during a sermon titled “Using Your God-Given Gifts for the Service of Mankind” while on a working visit to the Nator District.
Preaching from Ephesians 2:10, Romans 12:6, and 1 Peter 4:10, Apostle Abogorago reminded the congregation that every believer is God’s workmanship, intentionally created with unique abilities for a purpose. He stressed that no individual is without a gift, noting that each one is designed to be relevant and impactful within their environment.
According to him, although gifts differ, God expects believers to identify, develop, and diligently use them. He described Christians as stewards of divine abilities, adding that faithful service will attract God’s reward.
The Area Head further explained that the effective use of spiritual gifts depends on maintaining a strong relationship with God. He encouraged members to value their gifts and use them selflessly for the benefit of others.
He outlined practical ways believers can serve through their gifts, including showing mercy, giving to those in need, actively participating in church activities, and engaging in sacrificial giving.
Apostle Abogorago emphasised that true believers are those who put their gifts and graces to work, assuring the congregation that God delights in and rewards such commitment.
As part of the visit, he also laid the foundation stone for the Bayaruu Assembly in the Nator District, marking a significant step in the church’s expansion in the area.
The ceremony was attended by the Chief and Landlord of the Bayaruu community, as well as church members and other guests.
