The General Secretary of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Samuel Gyau Obuobi, has reaffirmed the exclusive role of Jesus Christ as the only source of salvation for humanity, urging Christians to anchor their faith firmly in Christ, especially during the Christmas season.
Speaking at the Osu Central Assembly during a service that marked the beginning of his 2025 Christmas Convention activities, Apostle Obuobi preached on the theme “Born a Saviour.” He explained that while many people seek redemption through human efforts, moral achievements or alternative spiritual paths, the Bible clearly teaches that salvation cannot be attained through any other means apart from Jesus Christ.
Quoting scriptures including Psalm 49:7–8 and Acts 4:12, Apostle Obuobi noted that no human being has the capacity to redeem another because the cost of salvation is beyond human ability. According to him, God’s decision to send His Son was the only solution to humanity’s sinful condition.
He further explained that Jesus Christ is uniquely qualified to save because of His deity and virgin birth, describing Him as God incarnate who came from above to redeem mankind. The General Secretary emphasised that Christmas is not merely a festive celebration, but a divine reminder of God’s sacrificial love expressed through the birth of His Son.
Apostle Obuobi challenged believers to move beyond routine celebrations and renew their personal commitment to Christ, stressing that true salvation results in transformed lives marked by obedience, humility and love for others.
