PIWC-Obuasi Donates To Obuasi Local Prisons

Spread the love

As part of this year’s National Evangelism Week celebration, the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC) – Obuasi extended love and support to the Obuasi Local Prisons through a significant donation.

The church donated a Yamaha keyboard, a guitar, and a combo amplifier to support the prison’s music initiatives. Additionally, assorted medications worth GHS 10,000.00 were presented to the prison infirmary.

The donation also included 50 bags of sachet water and a variety of toiletries, bringing the total value of items donated to over GHS 23,000.00.

The items were presented by Elder Dr. Eric Ofori Mensah, Evangelism Ministry Leader, on behalf of the Resident Minister, Pastor Samuel Addo Annor Diawuo.

He emphasised that this act of giving was a demonstration of God’s love for all — including those behind bars — in line with Jesus’ command to visit and care for prisoners (Matthew 25:36).

Receiving the items, ASP Esther Arko, Warden of the Prison, expressed profound gratitude and noted that the musical instruments would be used to launch a new rehabilitation initiative titled “Rehabilitation Through Music.”

Church members present also used the opportunity to share the gospel of Christ with the inmates, resulting in 45 of them surrendering their lives to Christ.
