Spread the love

The Kpandai New Town District in the Kete Krachi Area of The Church of Pentecost marked this year’s Mother’s Day with a special event held on Sunday, May 11, 2025, to honour the aged and widows within the district.

This inaugural celebration was a heartfelt expression of love, appreciation, and respect for these cherished members of the church.

The event was hosted by the District Minister, Overseer Joel Kwesi Baidoo, and his wife, Mrs. Ethel Baidoo. They were joined by Overseer Isaac Adjei Baffour and his wife from the Buya District, who came to support and participate in the occasion.

The programme featured a variety of uplifting activities, beginning with a word of exhortation from Overseer Baidoo, who shared on the love of Christ and the importance of faith in every season of life. This was followed by a joyful feast and a powerful prayer session, uniting the congregation in worship and thanksgiving.

A major highlight of the day was a health talk on “Healthy Aging,” delivered by Deaconess Cynthia Okumasi, a respected community health professional and lecturer. Her presentation provided practical tips and insights for maintaining physical and emotional well-being in old age, inspiring attendees to adopt healthier lifestyles.

Adding to the joyful atmosphere, some of the aged attendees shared personal testimonies and fond memories of their walk with Christ. These moments of storytelling brought laughter, inspiration, and deepened the sense of fellowship among participants.

In a thoughtful gesture of generosity, each aged and widow present received a special gift from the church as a token of love and appreciation for their years of service and dedication to the faith.

The event concluded with expressions of joy and gratitude from the attendees, many of whom were deeply moved by the church’s gesture of kindness and honour.
