The Otsenkorang District of The Church of Pentecost, through its Schools Outreach Ministry (SOM), partnered with Samaritan’s Feet Ghana, led by CEO Prince Adu-Appiah, and the OKB Hope Foundation Medical Team to deliver life-changing support to six basic schools across five Otsenkorang district communities in the Agona Swedru Area.

The outreach initiative saw the donation of 5,000 brand-new World Shoes to schoolchildren, courtesy of Samaritan’s Feet Ghana. This effort was aimed at promoting dignity, improving school attendance, and protecting the health of the beneficiaries.

World Shoe is the first-ever antimicrobial, closed-cell EVA shoe specifically engineered to prevent injuries, promote hygiene, and protect against disease. These durable shoes are lightweight, easy to clean, and specially designed for children living in low-resource settings. They help prevent exposure to foot-borne illnesses, support daily hygiene, and allow children to walk safely to and from school—often over long distances and in challenging terrain.

In addition, the OKB Hope Foundation Medical Team conducted free health screenings for pupils and residents in the beneficiary communities, addressing basic healthcare needs and raising awareness of healthy living practices.

The total value of the shoe distribution project was an estimated GHS 1,875,000.00, while the health screening services amounted to an estimated value of GHS 18,000.00.

The event was graced by the Otsenkorang District Minister, Overseer Solomon Boadi; his wife, Mrs. Rebecca Boadi; and Elder Tonnie Baffoe, the Agona Swedru Area SOM Coordinator.

Samaritan’s Feet is an international humanitarian organization committed to creating a world with Zero Shoeless Children by providing shoes, washing feet, and sharing messages of hope.

The Ghana office has set an ambitious goal of distributing 40,000 pairs of shoes across underserved communities. To partner, support, or donate, visit https://linktr.ee/samaritansfeetghana.
