A newly constructed block of the Yawmatwa Pentecost Clinic has been officially commissioned in the Essam Debiso Area of The Church of Pentecost, aimed at enhancing quality healthcare delivery for residents in the region.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, the Director of Pentecost Social Services (PENTSOS), Overseer Benjamin Asare Yeboah, noted that the project forms part of the Church’s broader vision of strengthening its social ministry to bring about holistic transformation in communities.
Established in May 1995 in a rented facility through the efforts of PENTSOS, the clinic currently serves over 14,000 people. It has now been upgraded into a modern healthcare facility designed to provide efficient, safe, and cost-effective medical services to the people of Western North and surrounding regions.
Overseer Yeboah emphasized that this initiative is not only a health intervention but also a strategic move to build the capacity of communities to serve God effectively, in line with the Church’s commitment to fulfilling the Great Commission.
Pastor Frank Awuah Fordjour, Essam Debiso Area Head, reiterated the Church’s commitment to community development. He stressed that the provision of social amenities through the Church’s development arm is key to transforming minds and empowering lives through the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Also present at the event was Nana Yaw Barima, the Kontihene of the Yawmatwa Traditional Area, who commended the Church for its contribution to the well-being of the people.
