The Mile 3 District of The Church of Pentecost, under the New Tafo Area, has celebrated a vibrant Traditional Day as part of its Gospel Sunday service, promoting unity in diversity within the Christian faith.
The event, themed around inclusivity in the body of Christ, saw members from all five local assemblies—English Assembly, Mile 3 Assembly, Ahenbronum Assembly, Ebenezer Assembly, and Nhyiaeso Assembly—dressed in traditional attire representing their ethnic identities.
District Pastor Joseph Ankomaku noted that the celebration aimed to remind believers that Jesus Christ died for all people, regardless of culture or tribe. Members participated in showcasing their heritage through traditional clothing, food, music, and dance.
Traditional dishes such as Tuo Zaafi, Eto, and Fufu were prepared and shared across assemblies in a communal feast that strengthened fellowship among members. Several presiding elders and congregants expressed their appreciation for the event, emphasizing how it fostered unity and deepened cultural appreciation. The celebration ended on a high note with jubilant singing, drumming, and dancing, affirming the church’s message of togetherness.
