2 Dead, Many Trapped In Galamsey Pit Collapse At Mpasatia

Two people have died following the collapse of an illegal mining pit at Mpasatia Yaw Nkwantah in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region on Tuesday morning. Rescue efforts are ongoing to retrieve others believed to be trapped in the pit.

The identities of the deceased and those trapped remain unknown. Residents, along with police and security agencies, are working together to recover the bodies of the deceased.
