The La Area of The Church of Pentecost, under the leadership of Apostle Dr. Dieudonne Komla Nuekpe, has donated assorted items valued at GHS 22,318.00 to the James Camp Prison and the Senior Correctional Centre in Accra.
The presentation took place on Friday, January 3, 2025, as part of the church’s commitment to supporting and transforming lives in correctional facilities.
The items, which included food, toiletries, and other essential supplies, were received by CSP Genevieve Hagan, Head of the James Camp Prison, and DSP Joseph Nyamekye Arthur, Head of the Senior Correctional Centre.
Speaking during the event, CSP Genevieve Hagan expressed deep gratitude to The Church of Pentecost for its continuous support of correctional institutions.
She emphasized how the donations would enhance the well-being of inmates and serve as a beacon of hope for their rehabilitation and reintegration into society.
Pastor Sylvester Ayiah, National Executive Committee (NEC) Member of the Prison Ministry and La Area Prison Ministry Coordinator, highlighted the church’s commitment to addressing the needs of marginalized groups in society.
“The Church of Pentecost believes in showing the love of Christ to all people, especially those in vulnerable situations. Our Prison Ministry is dedicated to providing not only physical support but also spiritual encouragement to inmates,” he said.
The delegation included Mrs. Juanita Toffa-Nuekpe, wife of the Area Head; Pastor Clement Achim Gyimah, Area Secretary; Pastor Sylvester Ayiah, and a cross-section of the La Area Pastorate and their wives, who actively participated in the event.
