The Old Tafo Area Women’s Ministry of The Church of Pentecost has made a visit to the General Headquarters of the Church at La, Accra.
The visit, which took place on Thursday, October 3, 2024, provided the women with opportunity to familiarize themselves with the operations of the Church.
Led by the Area Women’s Ministry Leader, Deaconess Mavis Addai, the group was warmly received by Apostle Samuel Gyau Obuobi, the General Secretary of the Church, and Pastor Samuel Avornyo, the Children’s Ministry Director, along with other staff members who interacted with them.
The women also toured the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC) at Gomoa Fetteh and Labadi Beach.
In an interview with PENTECOST NEWS, Deaconess Mavis Addai emphasised the importance of recreation for stress management. She noted that many women barely take time for relaxation, which could lead to depression.
“Most of the women spend their time between the market and church but seldom go on vacations or even simple outings. It is important for their mental health to take a break once in a while,” she said, adding, “Worshiping God is not solely about being in church; sometimes, going out to observe and experience God’s creation is equally important.”
The women shared their admiration for the Church’s progress following their visit to the Head Office and PCC.
They also thanked the Area Women’s Ministry leadership for organising the event, describing it as a refreshing experience.
This excursion highlights the need for balancing spiritual growth with personal well-being, encouraging women to take time for relaxation and rejuvenation.
