CoP, Addicted to Christ Movement Fete Inmates at the Nsawam Condemned Cell

”For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me”.

It is in line with the above scripture in Matthew 25 that the Church of Pentecost, Tema Area in collaboration with the Addicted to Christ Movement, over the weekend visited the Nsawam Prisons to share fellowship with inmates at the condemned cell.

The team shared the word of God with the inmates, educated them on how to overcome various forms of addictions, and also dined with them.

Speaking to the media, the Chaplain at the Nsawam Prisons, Pastor Thomas Owusu Brefo posited that the constant support from the Church of Pentecost and other organizations such as the Addicted to Christ Movement is making a positive impact as the lives of the inmates are been transformed through the spread of the gospel.

He said the facility needs food, toiletries, and educational materials for inmates who are schooling from basic to the tertiary levels and need assistance towards the registration of B.E.C.E, WASSCE, and other examinations.

‘’The Church is doing well here and we thank the Lord for the lives of the inmates, many are turning to Christ, many lives are been transformed and we want to invite you to come and have a feel of how God is moving in the prisons’’, he asserted.

While praising the Addicted to Christ Movement and the Church of Pentecost for their benevolence, Pastor Owusu Brefo solicits support from other organizations so that together ‘we can transform lives and possess the nations for God’.

A member of the Addicted to Christ Movement, Nicholas Aryee says the move was part of the organization’s mandate to demonstrate God’s love to the inmates through the sharing of the gospel while attending to their physical wellbeing.

He also advocated support from individuals to aid them embark on more of such interventions.

The team also donated toiletries and soap to the inmates.

 Addicted to Christ Movement is a non-denominational organization founded on the principles of God with the mandate of reaching hard-to-reach areas with the gospel of God and educating individuals on how to overcome all forms of addictions.

The organization also embarks of social interventions such as drilling boreholes for community, distribution of food items and clothing to the less privilege in the society.
