A significant gathering emerged at the Church of Pentecost, Abeka Central Auditorium, as the Abeka District Schools Outreach Ministry (SOM) in collaboration with Souls for Christ Outreach Network (SCON) organized a transformative event dubbed, ‘Prayerfest’ for the 2024 B.E.C.E candidates from some basic schools in Abeka and surrounding areas last Saturday, 29th June, 2024.
The event which attracted over 300 participants saw the presence of the Kaneshie Area Schools Outreach Ministry acting Coordinator and his Assistant, Elder David Arthur and Deacon Wilfred Donkor, Abeka District Coordinator, Elder Jeremiah Simpson,Souls for Christ Outreach Network Convener, Mr. Prosper Onomah, SOM Executive Member as well as Mr. Daniel Ato Kwamena Arhinful, an experienced teacher and examiner.
The program was strategically designed to cater for both the academic and spiritual needs of the students.
Mr. Arhinful, known for his expertise in education, encouraged the candidates to approach their upcoming examinations with determination and courage, emphasizing crucial do’s and don’ts in the examination hall.
He guided the candidates on effective answering techniques while urging discipline and respect towards invigilators to uphold their integrity. “The invigilators are there to facilitate a fair examination process,” Mr. Arhinful passionately advised. “Avoid actions that could compromise their integrity, as it reflects on your own character.” He added.
Attendees were given the opportunity to ask questions, engaging Mr. Arhinful on various exam-related concerns, further enriching their understanding and preparation.
Elder Samuel Obeng Wiafe, Abeka District Schools Outreach Ministry Assistant Coordinator and Mr. Hayford attended to the spiritual aspects of the gathering. They imparted teachings from the scriptures and led a powerful prayer session where the Holy Spirit manifested in profound ways. Several attendees experienced spiritual deliverance and empowerment during the prayer session, underscoring the transformative impact of faith as many fell under the power of the Holy Ghost and seventy Two (72) souls were won for Christ.

Meanwhile, the 2024 Basic Education Certificate Examination is scheduled to commence at various examination centres across the country come Monday 8th of July.
